Changes#

  • The new Shared Core family includes instance types c7gl50.* and c7gl20.* that provide a guaranteed processor availability of 50% and 20%, respectively, and run on gen7 CPUs, which correspond to 5th Gen Intel processors.

  • The Apache Kafka message broker PaaS service can be run on a single node, which acts as both broker and coordinator.

  • A new volume type nv1 — non-replicated NVMe SSD network drive — boasts practical performance of 200-300k IOPS for Linux instances and 100-150k IOPS for Windows ones. Volumes nv1 can be included in a volume placement group to prevent simultaneous failure and unavailability of multiple devices.

  • K2 NeuroTech service is available for creating, training and using machine and deep learning models.

  • For regular maintenance of PaaS services, you can set a desired maintenance window either via K2 Cloud web interface or using PaaS API method ModifyMaintenancePreferences.
