Changes#
K2 Cloud now offers a new volume type io2: Maximum based on high-performance SSDs. The volumes feature up to 50,000 IOPS performance and 500 MiB/s throughputs. The IOPS value is specified when the volume is created. The volume size can be subsequently increased without stopping the instance to which the volume is attached.
The io1: Flash volume type is no longer supported.
The new service Activity Log let you know about user activities in the cloud infrastructure. You can subscribe to and unsubscribe from the Activity Log service in the Subscriptions tab of the Tariff section. Subscription details can be viewed in the Other services tab. To analyze the collected data (events), you can use filters and search on the Events page or export events to CSV or JSON files.
Several fields can now search instance and volume tables.
The bucket table can now be filtered by bucket name and sorted by name and creation date.
The bucket table and bucket page display the creation date and time.
It is now possible to Get Link for an object in the object storage.
API#
CloudTrail API is available for the Activity Log service.
The
TagSpecification
field is added to the CreateVolume and CreateSnapshot methods so now volumes and volume snapshots can be tagged when they are created.Resource description methods return a
TagSet
for the following resources: subnets, snapshots, security groups, VPN connections, route tables, customer gateways, ACLs, and DHCP options.
Fixed#
The user’s privileges in the selected project are considered when a user switches to another section in the web interface.
Instead of a link, text information about the placement group is displayed in the table and on the page of the instance deleted by a user.
The order of sections in the web interface menu is changed.
Volume can now be exported from the instance page.
The selected VPC is not reset when the web interface page is refreshed in a browser.
A security group can be assigned to a network interface of an instance when the latter is created.
If the total company limit for the number of trails is exceeded, an error message is displayed.
Instance and volume metrics are displayed uniformly in the old and new web interfaces.

For security reasons, the cloud is now required to change the password provided by the administrator when a user logs into the web interface for the first time.
As a brute-force attack prevention measure, the message is displayed that the number of attempts has been exceeded after five failed attempts to enter a password when logging into the cloud.
API#
The DescribeImages method now supports tags in response and filtering by tags.
Fixed#
In the new web interface, the downloaded files are saved without opening.

The IPsec VPN connection can now be configured not only in transport mode but also in tunnel mode. Connection type in the transport mode has been renamed to
ipsec.legacy
, and the defaultipsec.1
type is now the tunnel mode.The bucket table can be searched by objects.
API#
The CreateVpnConnection and DescribeVpnGateways methods support the tunnel mode, and type description is added to the
VpnConnection
andVpnGateway
data types.
Fixed#
Wizards used to create instances, volumes, and volumes from a snapshot or template, now check that the io2 volume parameters are correct.
A bug is fixed when someone tries to switch a project in the Subnets section.
The link is now copied when you click Get link in a Safari browser.
Network interfaces are deleted together with the project even if they are not attached to instances.
A bug is fixed due to which object metadata is lost in a bucket.
