  • The new Simple Queue Service (SQS) is launched in beta mode. It enables asynchronous messaging between distributed application components in the cloud. The service can be accessed both via the web interface and SQS API.

  • The instance wizard has got a new skin:

    • New layout and fewer steps.

    • Compute Optimized, General Purpose and Memory Optimized instance families merged into one General Purpose family.
